Cafe Scientifique
Earthquakes : The next big one... could Taita be the new beachfront?!

Wednesday 27 August, 6-7.30pm, Cafe Reka, FREE

Cafe Scientifique is a regular programme providing an opportunity for you to learn and ask questions of our local scientists. This month you’ll hear from Russ Van Dissen from GNS Science (who studies the Wellington fault and its earthquakes), about exactly what we need to ‘be prepared’ for. Could the Hutt Valley be submerged under the sea, and Taita become the new beachfront? - when will the next big shake occur?

Proudly supported by GNS Science, the Royal Society of New Zealand Wellington Branch, TheNewDowse, Cafe Reka and Hutt City Council.
